When we think of surfskate, we immediately think of Carver. This company has defined surfskateboarding like no other over the past 25 years. For this reason, we chose Carver components.
The Surf Scout is compact, ultralight, and extremely versatile. It was developed with surf trucks in mind but also works great with RKP or TKP trucks. The drill holes are specially arranged so that they offer an old-school and two new-school mounting options. Surf it, cruise it, you decide. Even large wheels work well thanks to the perfectly placed wheel wells.
The bamboo / flax fiber construction makes it light, responsive, and smooth. And thanks to the natural cork top sheet you can even ride it only partially gripped or completely without grip tape; perfect for a barefoot sunset cruise at the beach.
You prefer a longer board and a longer wheelbase? The Surf Scout also comes in 30.5″.
The Carver CX is arguably the best-known and most popular surfskate truck. It offers incredible performance and doesn’t have any unnecessary additional parts that can break and need replacing. They have a lot of turn and pump, yet are more stable than other trucks.
The Carver 70 mm Roundhouse wheels are grippy, yet fast-rolling, with a thin outer lip and solid core profile creating the perfect balance of easy pushing and sticky carving.
Our high-quality ABEC 9 Lightspeed steel bearings with built-in spacers and speed rings are durable, reliable, long-lasting, and fast.
Finally, the board can be gripped with Jessup griptape. A classic that never disappoints. Since the Surf Scout has a laminated cork surface, grip tape isn’t absolutely necessary. However, it provides additional grip when needed. That’s why we offer it as an option.
And to answer a question that has been asked frequently. The cork surface is pressed in with epoxy resin during production. Since it absorbs some resin in the process, it is extremely durable and does not crumble.
