We built a beautiful Swan with a Texalium finish for a customer. Since we messed up the tail on the first one, we actually got to build it twice.

Having long toyed with the idea of building a Swan for torsion tails, I took the opportunity to try it out—and it worked brilliantly. The holes at the front are drilled oldschool and fit most standard trucks. The holes at the back are drilled newschool which fits various torsion tails and most common LDP back truck options.

If you order your board gripped by us, we will use the dark matter griptape with 60 grit. In our opinion, this version fits best to LDP decks. Please let us know in the comment section if you prefer the 40 grit.

The Swan flexes like a spring

The +13° wedged front brings the truck to an agile 63°. Thanks to the flipped rear truck, it creates the simplest form of a 0° truck. But that’s not the real innovation. This lies in the combination of the tail design with the finely tuned flex. The downward-curved tail straightens out as soon as the rider is on the board. This means it flexes like a spring. During pumping, the tail compresses and relaxes, providing energy return similar to a torsion tail. Additional carbon reinforcement fine-tunes the flex and ensures exceptional durability.

We deliberately chose the drop height to be slightly lower than a comparable bracket board. This allows it to be ridden easily with large wheels while still being low enough for comfortable pushing and easy pumping.

It comes in three flex levels to perfectly match the flex in the tail to the rider’s weight:

Flex I: 85 – 110kg / 185 – 245 lbs
Flex II: 75 – 90kg / 165 – 200 lbs
Flex III: 60 – 75kg / 130 – 165 lbs

Set-Up recommendation

Set-Up recommendation

For optimal performance, we recommend two 50° trucks with a width of 130-150mm and wheels of 85mm or larger.

Our complete setup uses 130mm Bear Gen6 trucks and 92mm Pantheon Karma wheels. In our opinion, this is the ideal setup, offering an incredible riding experience.
