LAF Don – Benson Marquart Pro

After the original Don set a new standard for small freeride boards in 2024, we’re raising the bar even higher in 2026 with the LAF Don. LAF stands for “light as f**k.” This construction has already proven itself over the years with the Simplex and Exodus. The board consists of a lightweight poplar core, reinforced with carbon and fiberglass, and features traffic-red urethane edges. This makes it exceptionally durable and 100% waterproof. And you know, red is always faster.

But we didn’t just copy the Don’s specs, as it remains in our lineup as an ultra-small freeride beast. The LAF Don is slightly larger and even more focused on speed and grip. Thanks to its meticulously tuned and balanced construction, grip is maximized without the vibrations that plague many lightweight boards.

The elliptical concave has been intentionally kept very mellow, without sacrificing any essential features. The front-loaded rocker creates a pocket for the front foot, which angles it slightly. It’s like a built-in mellow toe wedge that feels incredibly natural. At the rear, a wide, mellow w-concave provides additional support without being restrictive.

Of course, drilling additional holes is permitted. However, since this is a) tedious and b) compromises the 100% waterproof seal, we have already included holes for the footstop and weight, all with urethane inserts.
