The Rambler offers an easy and affordable entry into LDP (long distance pumping/pushing). It is designed to run standard 50° trucks between 150mm and 180mm and wheels up to 90mm. It has a low standing platform which makes it easy to push and thanks to a wedged front and a dewedged back it pumps amazingly. Its ergonomic 3D concave locks your feet when needed but stays comfortable for hours. We even added a little tail to help you pop up the board at the end of your ride.
Weight is an important factor when it comes to riding longer distances. That’s why we developed a new ultralight hollow core construction with a powerful flex. For more versatility it comes in two versions:
- The flex II version has exactly the rebound you need for strong pumps and suits riders up to 90 kg.
- The stiffer version in flex I is made for riders up to 110 kg or for the downhill guys.
In contrast to an LDP platform, the Rambler can be assembled with standard components that are available in every skate shop and still provides a similar riding experience.
Griptape:
If you order your board gripped by us, we will use the dark matter griptape with 60 grit. In our opinion, this version fits best to LDP decks. Please let us know in the comment section if you prefer the 40 grit.
Andrej –
What a great LDP-board. The natural position of your feet when pushing and pumping is top notch ! It’s like a glove. I have many LDP-boards and the Rambler is in my top 3 (Subsonic GT40 and Alternative Orchid, i am looking at you). The Rambler has a superb combination of “lightness” and “spaceness”. When you make a lot of miles, its in my opinion, it’s very important to have enough space for the stance of your feet. A lot of LDP boards are in my opinion (too) small, so when u are tired its easy to make mistakes. Not with the Rambler (shoe size EU 44). Its great. Also, using normal trucks (instead of brackets) its for me easier. Less components, less maintenance. There are enough options in the market (paris, beernett f.e.) for pumping. I saw on the Facebook -page some days ago a new (test) Rambler version. Very exciting and cant wait to hear more about it. It will be a new present for me, myself and i. Thanks Rocket !!! Cheers from the Netherlands.
